Android X86 Honeycomb

Android X86 Honeycomb - A new operating system, a port of Google’s famous Android is called Android-x86, this Live CD Linux distribution is designed mostly for the Eee PC netbooks, but can also run on any other 32-bit platform. Android-x86 is an Open Source project which provides easy means to install Google Android on a Netbook. The project supports a wide variety of existing x86 netbook hardware.

Somebody over android-x86.org has published a new stable build of the 2.0 branch. Here are the key features of this release.

* Camcorder works. You can record video and sound
* Touchscreen calibration (back port from eclair-x86).
* An experimental support of 3G USB modem
* busybox is added to provide useful command line tools.
* mksh, a better shell is added to replace android’s dumb sh.
* A lot of bug fixes.
* Third party apps are updated.
